Lab Objectives
Participants will be aiming to outline then complete the first draft of a feature film screenplay.

Anyone who is thinking of writing a feature film.
Lab Overview
First Draft Lab participants meet together as a group one weekend a month over six months. Writing takes place between the meetings. Starting with the outlining process the group moves from writing a treatment to writing their screenplay. During the meetings there is peer to peer mentoring and supervision by the industry facilitator. Participants discuss different elements of their screenplay as it evolves including structure, character and dialogue.
Screenwriting Base is the ideal introduction to First Draft Lab and the Screenwriters Lab is an ideal program for those who have completed First Draft Lab.

Key Tutor: David Pope is an award winning feature film writer director who has worked with filmmakers internationally as a mentor, teacher and consultant.
