Workshop Objectives
This workshop will teach the participant to put together a feature film from the ground up, through all the aspects of feature film production from development to financing to shooting to distribution.
Who Should Attend
Anyone who is thinking of producing a feature film – short filmmakers who are seeking to make their first feature or a more ambitious short film. Filmmakers who have made a micro-budget feature and want to make a bigger budgeted feature films. Line-producers / production managers wanting the make the move into producing; it is also good for writer/director/producer teams.
Workshop Overview
This course is designed to take you through the process of creatively and financially producing a feature film, from script to screen. Areas covered will include:

- Film Accountancy Paperwork
Day 4 – Production & Contracts Day
- Production Paperwork
- Production contracts – including cast, crew, locations, extras and directors
- Music contracts
- Insurance and Health & Safety
Day 5 – Marketing, Sales and Distribution Day
- Delivery
- Attracting a Sales Agent and Distributor
- How Sales Agents sell your film
- Distribution and Marketing your film
- Negotiating the deal
A CD-Rom will be given to each student with handouts including sample agreements, finance plans, project outlines, production paperwork etc.
