Workshop Objectives
This workshop will give a comprehensive overview of the essential techniques needed to write a feature film. Screenwriting Base is an excellent preparation for the Vision First Draft Lab.

Anyone who is thinking of writing a feature film.
Workshop Overview
Screenwriting Base takes place over 5 days. In addition to writing exercises participants will develop a project to synopsis stage
Day 1. Outlining: Beat Sheets, Log Lines, Synopsis, Treatments.
Character.
Day 2. Structure: Acts, Sequences, Scenes, Strands of Narrative and Transitions.
Day 3. Plot and Theme.
Dialogue
Day 4. Project Structure Workshop.
Day 5. Project Pitching Workshop.
Tutors Biography
David Pope is an award winning feature film writer director who has worked with filmmakers internationally as a mentor, teacher and consultant.
